Apure MQ Ultrasonic Open Channel Flow Meter using open channel technology, based on the calculation method of velocity and water level, by measuring the height of fluid level, combined with the geometric dimensions of standard weir groove, slope coefficient, channel accuracy, hydraulic ramp, vertical plane correction coefficient of velocity, and then through the microprocessor calculation inside the instrument to get the flow. It consists of three parts: water level sensor, flow sensor and calculator. The water level sensor is used to measure the water level in the nullah, the flow sensor is used to measure the flow rate and the calculator calculates the flow rate based on the water level and flow rate.

Because of non-contact measurement, open channel flowmeters can be used in harsher environments. Open channel flowmeter under the microcomputer control, transmitting and receiving ultrasonic wave, according to the transmission time calculated open channel flowmeter from the measured liquid level distance, so as to get the liquid level height, because of the liquid level and flow between a certain proportion, so according to the calculation formula can finally get the liquid flow Q.
