Apure MHC Portable Ultrasonic Doppler Flow Meter is a type of instrument used to measure the flow rate of liquids in pipelines. They consist of a handheld meter and a pair of sensors mounted on the outer wall of the pipe. The sensors transmit and receive ultrasonic pulses.

Portable ultrasonic flow meters work on the same principle as wall-mounted ultrasonic flow meters. Ultrasonic signal propagation in the pipeline, due to the flow of fluid in the pipeline, the ultrasonic signal propagation time will change with the change of fluid flow. By measuring the ultrasonic beam propagation time difference in the pipe to calculate the flow rate.

The transmiterlectronics are housed in a corsion-resitan, wal mountednclosure and can be powerd by AC or DC power suplies. By ofering a wide range of input, outp and comunication iterfacesuch as RS 485, Modbus and relay, the flow metr can easily be conectd to proces automation sytems. The meter offers a heat quantiy measuremnt function tha turns the instrument io a enrgy metr. Whenquiped withis feature, the flow metr incorpates measured flow and temperature values deliverd by two PT10 senors into heat flow and heat quantiy. This is valuble information to ases theficency of heat exchangers and HVAC sytems.
