Insertion type magnetic flow meter is a special electromagnetic flowmeter, its sensor can be inserted into the pipeline, no need to cut off the pipeline, so it is easy to install. Insertion type electromagnetic flowmeter is suitable for measuring the flow of large caliber pipeline, and high accuracy, wide range, corrosion resistance.
Insertion type electromagnetic flowmeter works on the same principle as other electromagnetic flowmeters, which are based on Faraday’s law of electromagnetic induction. When a conductive liquid flows through a sensor installed in a pipe, it induces a potential difference in the magnetic field that is proportional to the flow rate. Measuring electrodes are located in the magnetic field to measure the magnitude of the induced voltage. A converter is used to process the induced potential difference signal from the sensor and convert it to a standard current or voltage signal output.
Insertion type magnetic flow meter structure
Insertion type electromagnetic flowmeter consists of two parts: sensor and converter. The sensor is installed in the pipe and consists of measuring rod, measuring head, excitation coil and electrode. The measuring rod inserts the sensor into the pipe, and the measuring head is located in the pipe to sense the potential difference. The excitation coil is energized to produce a magnetic field. The electrodes are located in the magnetic field and measure the induced potential difference. A converter is used to process the induced potential difference signal output from the sensor and convert it to a standard current or voltage signal output
