KS-710 Industrial Water Turbidity Sensor

Apure KS-710 Industrial Water Turbidity Sensor is an instrument which uses optical principle to measure the degree of water turbidity. Turbidity is caused by suspended particles in water. The suspended particles reflect the incident light. Usually, the scattered light in the direction of 90°is used as the test signal, so the unit tested is called NTU.

Apure KS-710 Industrial Water Turbidity Sensor is an instrument which uses optical principle to measure the degree of water turbidity. Turbidity is caused by suspended particles in water. The suspended particles reflect the incident light. Usually, the scattered light in the direction of 90°is used as the test signal, so the unit tested is called NTU. This method is suitable for testing low to medium range, ranging from 0.01 to 4000FNU. According to EN27027 and ISO7027 standards, infrared light of 860 nm is used as light source, which can not be disturbed by the chromaticity of samples.

Turbidity sensors measure the amount of light scattered by suspended solids in water. As the amount of total suspended solids (TSS) in water increases, the turbidity level (and cloudiness or haziness) of the water increases. Turbidity sensors are used for stream and river measurements, wastewater and effluent measurements, control instruments for sedimentation tanks, sediment transport studies, and laboratory measurements.

Turbidity controller

  1. Relay, output and the signal: The transmitter is equipped with three configurable relay switches and two-way analog output.
  2. Sensor and the sensor module: The transmitter is a single-parameters one, can contain one sensor.
  3. Transmitter shell: Transmitter shell is of IP65 protection class. For outdoor use, it’s strongly recommended to take protective measures to event environmental damage.
