KSF-800 Water Quality Monitoring Buoy

The Apure KSF-800 is a configurable buoy platform for water-quality monitoring in rivers, lakes and other approved deployment sites. Select the sensor payload, sampling depths, power, logger and telemetry for the monitoring task.

  • Monitoring parameters can be freely combined
  • Solar energy
  • Long running cycle

The KSF-800 carries the selected sensors and data-acquisition equipment. The listed analytes are payload options rather than a guarantee that every buoy includes every measurement. The final measuring ranges, accuracy, operating limits and outputs depend on the supplied configuration.

Specify a representative deployment

  • Define the monitoring objective, locations and sensor depths. Consider water-level changes, currents, stratification, exposure to air, sediment and access for servicing when locating the sensors.
  • Select the actual DO, pH/ORP, conductivity, turbidity, temperature, nutrient/COD and pigment measurements needed. Confirm the measurement method and reference validation for each selected option.
  • Specify mooring, sensor mounts, protection and recovery arrangements for the site. Confirm the approved loading and environmental conditions using the supplied buoy design.

Review the data before interpreting trends

  • Keep raw readings, units, timestamps and sensor status with the maintenance record. Flag missing, out-of-range, fouled or unverified data rather than silently treating it as a valid environmental result.
  • Pair selected sensor readings with suitable reference samples or field checks. Recheck after cleaning, calibration, probe replacement or a major change in the water matrix.
  • Set alarms for the monitoring purpose using validated data. A telemetry connection or a single sensor reading does not by itself certify the water as safe.
